The name Silt & Sand is a small declaration of love to the nature of our island and the beautiful region.
“Silt” stands for the fine silt that gently settles on the seabed - quiet, soft and full of life.
We all know “sand”: sometimes warm underfoot, sometimes blown by the wind, always present on Langeoog's beach.
Together, Silt & Sand tell the story of what makes the island what it is: the constant change between high and low tide, between softness and structure, between sea and land.
The name reflects the special atmosphere of our place - natural, honest and with a touch of North Sea magic.

Your check-in is guaranteed daily from 3 pm. Are you arriving earlier and would like to get rid of your luggage? We'll be happy to take care of it! Just let us know at reception.
Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to you by 11 am on your day of departure. Would you like to sleep longer? No problem! For a fee of €50, we will be happy to extend your check-out until 3 pm.

“VIEW” stands for one thing in particular: a unique view! Either directly to the North Sea or over the whole of Langeoog. Either way: it's worth it!
Unfortunately, we do not sell a direct & guaranteed sea view. Due to the room layout, in the categories with the title “View” you will either get a view to the south side or a room with a good to limited sea view. Our reservations team will be happy to help you choose your room.
Of course, drinks and delicious food will also be provided. Information will follow!

With the exception of the CLASSY category, you will find a fridge in each of the ROOMS. In the SIGNATURE & LOFT categories, however, these are somewhat smaller.

Dogs welcome! For €25 per day, your four-legged friend will receive a dog treatment with dog nest, dog bowl and dog snack.
PS: Tell us the name of your best friend!
Please note: For hygiene reasons, dogs are unfortunately not allowed in the salty during breakfast. They are welcome at all other opening times.
Of course, we also have dog-free rooms on offer - so that all guests can feel completely at ease. Just let us know and we will be happy to reserve the right room for you.

You can easily have your luggage transported from the railway station to Silt & Sand by the Heyken luggage service. The cost is €3. You can enquire about group luggage and discounts by calling the luggage service.
